Earth day 2023 Cermony
Shortly after 10:00 AM the Earth day festivities were kicked off with their opening ceremony. The presentation of colors was provided by the Fawn Grove Girl Scout Troop, along with the reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. Troop leader Danielle Spencer thanked the Scouts for their hard work in preparing the festival and turned focus to the newly planted Norway Spruce, donated by Childress Nursery. State Senator Kristin Phillips-Hill and Commissioner Doug Houck contributed to the ceremony with speeches about earth day. A special recognition was presented to David Lowe commemorating the years of hard work and dedication he has performed repopulating trees in the community.
Earth day 2023 Activities
Earth day 2023 had a variety of activities for all ages, including Yoga, a scavanger hunt, community fellowship, and educational lectures.

A Fantastic turnout of vendors was available for Earthday ranging from crafts and food, to educational displays about the environment.
