The hauler for trash and recyclables for Fawn Grove Borough is Penn Waste
- Fawn Grove Borough is billed by Penn Waste for residential pickup. Some commercial pickup is also under this contract, but can be contracted seperately depending on the company needs.
- We have weekly curbside trash pick-up, recycling pick-up, and bulk trash pick-up upon request.
- The weekly pickup day for Trash Pick-up day is Tuesday.
- The weekly pickup day for Recycling day is Friday
- If the pick-up day coincides with a holiday, the alternate day will be posted in one the the following newspapers
- York Newspaper, Harrisburg Patriot, Hanover Evening Sun and Delta Star.
- Yard waste pick-up is not available.
- Bulk trash (large items such as furniture, televisions, etc.), is limited to one item per week
- Large items that are too heavy to be lifted by two people will not be accepted.
- It is requested that residents and businesses place trash and recycling containers at curbside BEFORE 7:30 AM the day of the scheduled weekly pickup.
- Recycling Guidelines for items acceptable for recycling. Non-recyclables can contaminate an entire load, so please follow these guidelines.
- Containers may not exceed 50 lbs.
- Call Penn Waste to schedule removal of appliances with Freon (717) 767-4456.
- No construction debris will be collected curbside.
Electronics Recycling
- Fawn Grove Borough does not have an electronics recycling center
- The York County Electronics Recycling Programs listed below accept electronics to be recycled for FREE from York County residents only. Please bring help with you to unload heavy electronic items if needed. The location is: York County Solid Waste Authority: Conducted Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon at the York County Resource Recovery Center (YCRRC) located at 2651 Blackbridge Road in York. There is no tipping fee for loads consisting solely of electronics.
